It's Getting Closer...

We had our 2nd preparation meeting and there are 6 of us excited to go! During our trip, we will have the opportunity to minister with Bishop Michael Kimani and people from the Joy Christian Fellowship (http://www.joychristianfellowship.net/). We will also be ministering with Bishop Jonah Bedan. During our trip, we will have opportunity to minister with youth, children, orphans, HIV patients, and I am sure the list will grow! We will also be hosting lunches while there.

Here is our preliminary schedule -

• Monday, Sept 10th - leave Des Moines, IA 4:45 PM
• Tuesday, Sept 11th - on the airplane - possibly some sight seeing in London
• Wednesday, Sept 12th - arrive in Nairobi at 6:05 AM. Afternoon - Speak to Ntulele Church and Serve Supper
• Thursday, Sept 13th -Morning - Speak to HIV support group. Speak to Orphans. Serve Lunch. Afternoon - Minister to Mai-Mahiu church
• Friday, Sept 14th - Visit slum area. Visit Orphanage. Dinner of Game Meat!
• Saturday, Sept 15th - Day spent with Joy Christian Fellowship
• Sunday, Sept 16th - Day spent with Joy Christian Fellowship, Friends Church, and others!
• Monday, Sept 17th - 1st Day of Photo Safari - Masai Mara
• Thursday, Sept 20th - Last Day of Photo Safari
• Friday, Sept 21st - Leave for Des Moines 8:15 AM - Arrive in Des Moines 10:30 PM

Now it's time for meditation on preparing our hearts for the trip and also time for us to think more about what can we share when in Kenya. Only 53 days to go...
